TREE CLIMBING FOR THE PEOPLE! Make friends in high places and wonder at life from different perspectives.

Welcome to Social Tree Climbers, practicing tree climbing and canopy camping wherever there are happy, healthy trees.

My name is Syd, and my team and I have been climbing trees for over ten years and counting. We’re based in Southampton, with sites in the New Forest and Queen Elizabeth and Staunton Country Parks too.
We all love to travel and help people climb anywhere if you have access to trees too.

Tree climbing is a wonderfully versatile activity which can adapt to almost any requirements. We can supervise up to eight and sixteen climbers at a time to help accommodate groups of any size.

Our Sky-Pod tree tents can be set up in the day or night, giving everyone somewhere to relax and share the canopy if they aren’t already on a branch.

Morning, afternoon or evening sessions can last up to four hours, or you can climb all day and sleep overnight in the trees. A picnic aloft is always fun if you bring one along. We recommend wearing walking boots if you have them, the padded ankles are more comfortable with the equipment, and jeans or similar tough trousers can help if you aren’t used to wearing a harness.

Please ask any questions, or let us know if there is anything else we can do to help. Use our CONTACT page to get in touch or visit our main climbing location in Bursledon to see what it’s all about, just let us know when you might come along.

Our Mission is to make tree climbing ‘ordinary’.

Our Vision is people of all ages choosing tree climbing and canopy camping as part of a healthy, outdoor lifestyle.

Our Objectives are to promote the value of trees everywhere,
share responsible climbing techniques,
encourage friendship and communication with the natural world through an ethical outdoor activity,
and help people feel the freedom of adventure.
